Science fair season: pre-approval week
Is it a fair test?
Paste the project plan as it will go to the teacher. The page lays it out on a trifold board and checks each part, free in your browser: one thing changes, one thing is measured, everything else stays the same, enough trials, and the forms some projects need before they start. Ask for the teacher's-eye check when you want a fix for every part.
1 The project plan
Label each part: Question: Hypothesis: What I change: What I measure: What stays the same: Control: Materials: Procedure: Trials: Data: Safety:. Lists can be one item a line.

4 Get the teacher's-eye check
Metered. The check reads the plan and the page's flags, gives every part a status with a quote, a reason and a fix, suggests a fairer if-then hypothesis, lists the sign-offs to get before starting, and says ready, tweak or rethink. The page holds every quote to your plan and every sign-off to its own word list.
Take it with you
The .csv is the empty data table for this plan - one row per level, one column per trial and an average column - ready to print or fill in a spreadsheet. Print the board for a one-page layout of what goes where, with the check if you have one.
